On January 1, 2020, the MED released updated homogeneity requirements for Marijuana Infused Products. Our Homogeneity Calculator will assist you with understanding the new MED regulations and how your test results are calculated.
How is homogeneity calculated?
The MED considers an infused product to be homogenous if the Relative Standard Deviation of 4 samples is less than 10%.
What is Relative Standard Deviation?
Relative Standard Deviation compares the standard deviation with the mean of the given data set and tells you whether the ‘regular’ standard deviation is small or large when compared to the mean of the given data set.
The relative standard deviation (RSD) is expressed in percent and is obtained by multiplying the standard deviation by 100 and dividing this product by the average.
